 Coach Mindy has been immersed in competitive softball since the age of 8, excelling as both a pitcher and third baseman. Her talent and dedication led to numerous ASA National Tournament appearances, and at just 14 years old, she joined the prestigious 18U Sorcerers. Over her 10-year travel ball career, Mindy trained under renowned pitching coach Rich Balswick, a mentor to many successful Bay Area pitchers.

Mindy began her collegiate career at Midland College in Midland, Texas, where her outstanding performance earned her NJCAA All-Conference honors and helped lead her team to the NJCAA Division I World Series. With multiple scholarship offers on the table, she ultimately chose the University of Mobile on a full athletic scholarship. Despite suffering a severe shoulder injury during her sophomore year that ultimately ended her collegiate career, Mindy continued to demonstrate the resilience and determination that defined her playing career, earning NAIA Academic All-American honors.

Following her collegiate career, Mindy entered the corporate world, but her passion for softball and developing athletes never left her. In 2024, she made the decision to leave her corporate career and pursue coaching full time, with the goal of building a career as a professional pitching coach. Since making that transition, Mindy has dedicated herself to helping young athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

As a pitching coach, Mindy emphasizes the fundamentals that create successful pitchers: spin, mechanics, stamina, and mental approach. She believes that every athlete is unique and takes a personalized approach to training, tailoring each athlete’s development plan to their individual needs. Mindy’s training emphasizes establishing strong mechanics and building stamina before progressing to increased velocity and movement.

Mindy has also served as a 12U head coach for the past three years with organizations including Athletics Mercado and Universal Bay Area. In 2026, she was selected to represent Region 10 Pacific at USA Softball’s All American Games in Oklahoma City, where she coached her team to a third-place finish among some of the top young athletes in the country.

Today, Mindy continues to pursue her passion for developing the next generation of softball players. She currently serves as the pitching coach for the 18U Gold Universal Bay Area Tatro and works with athletes ages 8–20. Her mission is to help pitchers become not only better athletes, but also more confident, disciplined, and resilient young women both on and off the field.

 Coach Bailey is a high-energy, team-first coach and former Division I softball player whose career has been defined by leadership, consistency, and a passion for developing the next generation of athletes.

A four-year varsity starter at Benicia High School, Bailey earned First Team All-League honors and helped lead the Panthers to a CIF championship. She continued her collegiate career at Bowling Green State University, where she started all 54 games as a freshman, led the team with nine doubles, and earned All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Bailey later transferred to Bradley University, where she became a key contributor on the infield at first and third base. Over three seasons, she made 89 starts in 114 games and earned All-Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Team honors. As a senior, she hit .324 with a .477 on-base percentage and .559 slugging percentage, while continuing to establish herself as a versatile and reliable presence on both sides of the ball.

Bailey finished her collegiate career at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where she became a starting infielder and one of the Mavericks’ most productive offensive players. During her 2026 senior season, she hit .415 with 61 hits, 12 doubles, 7 home runs, 34 RBI, and a 1.153 OPS across 49 starts. She led Omaha in batting average, finished in the top 100 in NCAA Division I in batting average, and earned First Team All-Summit League and Third Team NFCA All-Midwest Region honors.

Now, Bailey brings that experience back to the Bay Area as the Head Coach of Universal Bay Area Tatro/Sample. Her coaching philosophy is built around high energy, confidence, accountability, and development — not only as athletes, but as people. Most importantly, Bailey strives to build strong, confident young women who understand that the lessons they learn through softball — discipline, resilience, communication, leadership, accountability, and learning how to handle both success and failure — extend far beyond the game.

She believes softball is a vehicle for developing character, confidence, and life skills. Her goal is to create an environment where athletes feel comfortable being challenged, making mistakes, celebrating the small wins, and pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones. She wants every player who comes through her program to leave not only as a better softball player, but as a stronger, more confident person who is prepared to succeed in whatever comes next.

Across every stop in her playing career, Bailey has been known for being one of the most vocal and energetic players on and off the field. She brings that same passion into coaching, combining Division I experience with a genuine commitment to helping young athletes reach their potential — both on the field and, most importantly, beyond it.
